With the merger, SBI marked its position among the league of top 50 banks globally in terms of assets. In April 2017, SBI merged its operations with five of its associate banks - State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur (SBBJ), State Bank of Mysore (SBM), State Bank of Travancore (SBT), State Bank of Patiala (SBP), State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) - besides Bharatiya Mahila Bank.
